HANDfuls Hand Sewing Group
The HANDfuls meet on a rotating schedule: Meeting format is a brief Show and Tell followed by a demo or project that we can work on throughout the morning, at home, or on the road. Everyone is welcome to join us as a participant or an observer. You don't have to sign up or attend every month. Drop ins are encouraged.
HANDfuls Program for 2025-2026
HANDfuls will be focusing their time this year on stitching as a group. We all love to sit together and sew and visit. We will be gathering on our HANDfuls day and working on our own projects, bringing show and tell to the group and having informal demos throughout the year. These demos are intended to be a taste of a hand work style or technique. Members will be available for any questions you may have, for inspiration and for helping with showing anyone how to perfect her bullion knots (or any other stitch). Feel free to join us on our HANDful days.
On September 8, we will be demoing some big stitch hand techniques. We will show examples of Boro, Kawandi, Kantha and Sashiko and demo some of these stitch traditions. Please bring any examples that you may have to show the group.
