Remembering Joanne Tjaden

Our President, Sharon Planche-Williams sent a message about Joanne T.
"I know that you join me in expressing our deepest condolences to her family and how very sorry we all are to hear about her passing.
She was a good friend to many guild members and a great mentor, teacher and inspiration to us all, particularly to members of the HANDfuls group. During Show & Tell, we all sat with held breath and anticipation when she would get up to show us her wool work at guild - which was absolutely without parallel. Joanne’s passing is a great loss to the Orchard Valley Guild and she will forever be missed."
Evelyn wrote: "Every time Joanne showed us her amazing quilts and hand-sewing projects, I felt inspired to try some small item, and garnered so much information from her about all her many techniques and her fabric knowledge.
So sad; I would have had many more questions to ask her...
My sincere heartfelt condolences to her family and friends on her loss.

In Memory of Peggy |
Marg F. made a memory quilt in remembrance of her mother, Peggy. This quilt will be going to her brother and has memories of happy childhood holidays spent at the cabin near Deep River.
Peggy was an honorary member of our Guild and was born in 1915. Her positive attitude and kindness was a great example to us all. |
